Parts of a Whole aka How I learned to love the macro setting

So I don't know how I wonkyfied the sizes, sorry about that in advance. This made me absolutely love my macro setting, which I have never used before!

Photograph a small part of a whole, for example the stamen of a flower. Post 5 different photographs, choosing your top 1. As always, no post-editing.

No contest this round, unless the majority would like one.

Photograph bugs, insects, or spiders. Post your top 5, picking your top 1.

I thought it would be interesting to have a photo contest for this one with our top one. Agree/disagree?

Remember, no editing in photoshop or similar. What you see is what you get.

Shadows and Reflections (kind of incomplete)

Ok, the first picture is kind of a play on the word shadow, since Dixie is my shadow as part of her job. Will add more as I can.

Better Late than never Colors

I did reds and pinks since I couldn't decide. The only new thing I used was the color isolate feature on my P&S.

(Yes, assignment 3 isn't posted yet. My mac is in the shop and the initial diagnosis is a fried hard drive. Most affected part? documents and photos. Damn it.)

Pick a color and then take pictures of anything you like as long as it is your chosen color. Pick your top 5 and post. As always, no editing in photoshop or other imaging software.

Not my best work

It was a long and somewhat difficult week, so I did not give this assignment as much time or attention as I should have.

This would be much more fun if it came on an exploding tape :-p

Share up to 10 photos that:

freeze motion and convey motion

You need to do both, but not in the same photo

And stick with the same rules as last time, no tweaking in Photoshop. That keeps the playing field level and helps everyone shoot more carefully.
